Google Meet

Learn how to configure GameTape for Google Meet to capture and analyze meeting data with ease.

GameTape’s integration with Google Meet makes it easy to capture and analyze your meetings automatically. Here’s how the meeting recorder works and how you can manage it:

Meeting Attendance

The GameTape meeting recorder will automatically join Google Meet sessions based on your auto-join settings.

Scheduled Meetings: If a meeting is scheduled on your calendar, the recorder will join automatically at the start time.
Recorder Name: It will appear in the meeting participant list using the name you’ve assigned it in the auto-join settings.
Non-Video Participant: The recorder will join as a non-video participant, ensuring minimal disruption to your meeting.

Removing Your Notetaker

If for any reason you don’t want the recorder to attend a specific meeting or need to stop it during a session:

Open the Participants List in Google Meet.
Locate the recorder (identified by the name you’ve given it).
Click to Remove the recorder from the meeting.

Note: Removing the recorder will stop the recording immediately, and any data captured up to that point will still be available in GameTape.

By automating the recording process, GameTape ensures that key meetings are captured seamlessly, letting you focus on leading and collaborating effectively.
