Common questions
What is a founder coach?
Someone who has either founded and sold a company or spent a decade coaching the founders who did, and whose only job is your performance as a founder. A mentor gives advice from their path; an advisor opens doors; a coach works on how you decide, hire, manage and hold up under pressure.
How does Titan select founder coaches?
Out of more than 1,600 coaches interviewed, fewer than 3% made it into the network of 48. A founder coach in that network has built an extraordinary company or helped half a dozen founders do it: coach to 3 PayPal Mafia founders, coach to 11 unicorn founders, four-time founder with three exits.
What do founders work on with a coach?
Co-founder conflict. Burnout and the fear of being found out. The first executive hires. The board after a big round. Letting go of the work to run the company. Titan has coached 253+ founders, from Wispr Flow and OpenRouter to Pylon and Nooks, on exactly these.
How often do you meet your coach?
Most Titan coaches meet every two weeks, some weekly, for 45 to 60 minutes. From the first session you are on a texting basis with your coach, so the hard decisions between sessions get a reply the same day and the ad-hoc 20-minute call is normal.
Should my coach be a former founder or a trained coach?
Both are in the network, and the right answer depends on what you need. A former founder has sat in your seat and pattern-matches fast. A trained coach has spent a decade on how founders decide, hire and hold up under pressure. The discovery call is where we work out which fits you, and most founders meet one of each in their trial sessions.
